On Saturday, December 14, we will be having our 19th annual bounenkai, or Japanese year-end party. A bounenkai is a traditional event at most institutions in Japan to celebrate the end of the year.
Whiffen Shihan will be hosting the bounenkai at the Cloverdale Dojo again this year. The doors will open at 5:00 pm, and we will start eating at around 6. It will be a pot luck style dinner with a Japanese theme, although any type of food is ok! Please bring your choice of beverage, although there will be plenty of soft drinks and sake on hand as well. Feel free to bring your spouse to this event.
